 About Elizabeth Cameron

In my life, art has played a dominant role since as far back as I remember. My mother studied architecture at Brighton school of Architecture in the 4 years leading up to World War II and her mother too, was an accomplished draughtswoman. My great grand father, Henry Bayfield was Head of Art at High Wycombe School before World War I. I am a retired art teacher, having graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1968. All the work pictured here has been done in the last few years and shows mainly typically Scottish scenes of landscape and seascape. The work, done in acrylic, but some in watercolour and mixed media, can be bought framed and is priced depending on size. For more details please see the section marked Paintings For Sale.

I have exhibited locally for more than 19 years, since our return from Australia, where I held an annual solo exhibition for the 5 years we lived there, on the  University of Sydney Campus. These paintings were mainly in watercolour, pen and ink of university buildings and native flowers. Current work, mainly in acrylic, can always be seen at the Aberfeldy Gallery, in Aberfeldy.

I am also an annual contributor to the summer Dunkeld Art Exhition held in The Duchess Anne building in the Cross, Dunkeld.

Other galleries to which I contribute regularly are the Macmillan/Bonhams Exhibition held in Edinburgh, Frames Gallery in Perth, and the Torrance Gallery in Edinburgh.
